Now is the Time…

If you have been thinking of getting a dog to take walks, hikes, runs, or just enjoy the spring and summertime —  this is the time.  Please see the post below from the Sierra Vista Police Fire and EMS Facebook page.  You can link to info on the great pups waiting to meet you from this link or from our Facebook page, linked on the right of this page.

And if this isn’t the time to adopt maybe you could foster????

The Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center is nearly full after receiving an unexpected influx of dogs turned in to the shelter. In light of the urgent need for adoptions, the shelter is temporarily reducing its dog adoption fee to $50 effective immediately!

That includes sterilization, the first set of vaccinations, a complete physical exam, City pet license, and a microchip implant. Click the link below to see many of the wonderful dogs in our care waiting for their forever homes!

The shelter is also seeking foster families and is reaching out to other shelters and rescue organizations for assistance in freeing up space.

Stop by or give the shelter’s friendly staff a call at (520) 458-4151 to learn more about adoptions or foster opportunities! The Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
