Animal shelter seeks volunteers

The Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center can accept new volunteer applications once again and has a heightened need for dedicated helpers who can come in on a regular basis. The shelter specifically needs volunteers to assist with cleaning kennels and other areas of the shelter and crushing/preparing donated aluminum cans to raise funds for the shelter.
Of course, these volunteers will be welcome to spend time with the animals at the shelter as well and their regular assistance will greatly benefit the shelter’s animals, while freeing up animal control officers to dedicate as much time as possible to calls for service.
Here’s how the process works. To learn more, call the shelter at (520) 458-4151.
– Applications are available at the Nancy J Brua Animal Care Center’s front door.- No appointment is necessary to pick up applications.- Once applications have been turned in and reviewed, an interview will be scheduled.- A background check will be conducted.
